Thame 5k Family Fun Run – Sunday 17th September

Thame 5k Family Fun Run – Sunday 17th September

Little Ankle Biters are always keen to support charity events like this and it looks like Thame Family Fun Run will be a really fun and active day.

Thame Family Fun Run is to raise money and awareness for vulnerable children in the UK with this year drawing particular attention to the children and young people caught up in the refugee crisis.

The event starts at 12pm at John Hampden School with a warm up before the start of the competitive 5k race with the family fun run/walk/scoot will begin a circular route of the Pheonix Trail. It will end back at John Hampden School for a family BBQ with activities for all ages.

The event is being put on by Home for Good Thame – Every day more than 50 children are taken into care in the UK. They are removed from chaotic, traumatic, abusive, neglectful or desperate situations. Some of them need a home in an emergency. Some of them need a temporary home until they can return to their families. Some of them need a permanent home with a new forever family. Home for Good exists to help them find the loving families they need.

Location:  John Hampden County Primary School, Park Street, Thame. OX9 3HU

Prices: There is a suggested donation of £7 per person or £20 per family

Date & Time: Sunday 17th September 12pm – 4pm
