In the summer months we are always on the look out for pubs with a garden and play area.
On a glorious summer’s day there’s nothing better than having some lunch and a glass of wine in a pub garden, and if you can find one with a play area so the children can play – even better!

This pub has a great carvery on a Sunday and also boasts a large garden of almost two acres in size with a barbeque area, benches and an excellent children’s play area.

The Chequers at Brize Norton
The Chequers at Brize Norton has a children’s play area consisting of princess castles and fun forts, jammed packed with all the equipment and toys they need to have a fabulous time while you enjoy a relaxing drink.
If the weather isn’t great they also have a kids corner full toys including duplo, action men and barbies, car track and dolls house to keep everyone happy.
Throughout the year we also have family fun days like our famous Easter egg hunt and Haunting Halloween where the pub is transformed into activity tables, apple bobbing and face painting.
The pub serves traditional pub food with a carvery on a Sunday.

Bure Farm, Bicester
Bure Farm in Bicester is a lovely child-friendly pub that’s glorious in summer and cosy in winter. They have a fabulous patio and covered terrace with a fireplace. Red Lion, Old Marston
The Red Lion is one of those iconic pubs nested in the picturesque village of Old Marston.
