What’s on this Weekend for Families in Oxfordshire: 30 June – 1 July

It looks like the weather is set to continue to be hot and sunny this weekend. If you can drag yourself away from your garden this weekend here’s our guide to what’s on for families in Oxfordshire.

 

PETER RABBIT: MISCHIEF AND MAYHEM AT THE OXFORDSHIRE MUSEUM

Bunnies will be bouncing all over the Museum this summer, as Peter Rabbit hops, skips and jumps right off the page in this interactive exhibition about Beatrix Potter’s most famous  creation.

The Brew House gallery will transform into a playroom where visitors can have fun helping Mrs Tiggywinkle hang up the laundry or visit Mrs Rabbit in her burrow!

Children can dress up as Peter, help plant carrots in Mr McGregor’s garden or curl up with one of the books in the story corner.

Kidlington Fete at St Mary’s Church

A traditional fete for all the family with a dog show at 2pm

12:30 pm – 4:00 pm

TETSWORTH VILLAGE FETE

Tetsworth Village Fete is a great family fun day taking place on Tetsworth Village Green on 30 June between 1pm – 5pm. Activities include Punch & Judy Show, balloon modelling and face painting, Tog of War, Welly Whanging and much more

 

ST JOSEPH’S FETE IN THAME

The annual fete put on by St Joseph’s Church and Primary School is taking place on 30 June between 2pm and 4:30pm. Activities include Hook a Duck, Tombola, a book stall and much more.

 

TAYNTON VILLAGE FETE

A traditional village fête set in an idyllic Cotswold garden. Go and enjoy the many stalls, games for children of all ages, Pimms Bar, afternoon teas, Chedworth Silver Band and much, more more at Taynton’s traditional garden fête.

LOVE MUSIC FUNDRAISING EVENT IN AID OF SUE RYDER

Kelly Williams is organising a mini music festival for the amazing Sue Ryder, who gave her and her parents huge support during their illnesses. There will be five fabulous bands, who have all kindly donated their time, lots of lovely craft stalls and other family friendly activities.

Cowley Road Carnival

Cowley Road Carnival, takes place, every year, on the first Sunday of July. It runs from 11am until 5pm and attracts audience numbers of over 50,000.
