Science Oxford and the University of Oxford Botanic Garden invite budding horticulturists to explore the fascinating world of seeds and pods, in a special hands-on family workshop in the oldest Botanic Garden in Britain.
You will discover exotic varieties in the famous glasshouses, hear stories of how seeds travel around the world and even meet the biggest seed on the planet! Children will carry out green-fingered experiments, help the Garden team prepare seeds for storage, dissect seeds and pods and create tasty bird treats to take home, in a fun session for ages 5-9.
Location: The University of Oxford Botanic Garden, Rose Lane, Oxford , OX1 4AZ
Date & time: Saturday, 30th September 2017 10AM – 11.30AM, 12.30PM – 2PM & 2.30PM – 4PM
Ticket prices: £10 per child includes 1 free adult (Additional adults £5 can be bought on the day)
