Our Review of Mead Open Farm

Our Review of Mead Open Farm

We visited Mead Open Farm for the first time over the Easter Holidays and we had such a great time we’re looking forward to visiting again in the summer.

It was a bit drizzly when we arrived so we headed to the indoor play area which was worth a visit in itself. It consisted of a number of different zones based on the age of the children and some incredible and gravity defying steep slides that both my girls absolutely loved.

Outside there are a large number of animals including ponies, lambs, pigs, bunnies and chickens and visiting in the spring we had the delight of seeing lots of baby animals too. There are lots of activities you can get involved in including bottle feeding the lambs, meeting the adorable bunnies and cheering on your chosen sheep in the sheep race.

In addition to the indoor play and animals there is a climbing wall, a giant jumping pillow, a sandpit, go-karts, crazy golf and high ropes to climb on. Tip – wear trainers if you want to go on the high ropes with your children.

There’s a cafe at the indoor play are that offers both an adult and children’s menu along with a cafe and kiosk that you can pick up a hot drink or snack, or you can take along a picnic.

Mead Farm put on a number of events over the school holidays and during our visit there was an Easter Wonderland which was fantastic.

All in all we had a superb day and can’t wait to go back!
