MAKING SENSE OF BOTANY WITH SCIENCE OXFORD

June 16 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Science Event for Children - Oxford Botanic Garden, Oxford, Oxfordshire

Join Science Oxford for a super sensory workshop at the Botanic Garden that explores how we feel, smell, taste and see the world around us. Guess what natural materials our selection of objects are made from, just by the way they feel, look at flowers through the eyes of a bee and find out how plants use smell to attract and repel animals and insects. Taste your way around the Rainforest Glasshouse and discover the range of sounds that can be heard, if you listen close enough! Learn how to take a cutting of a popular herb and have a small piece of the Botanic Garden to take home and grow.

Tickets to the workshop includes entry to the University of Oxford Botanic Garden, so why not take a picnic and indulge your senses for the day!
